Why Interlocking Brick Holds Up Better Than Poured Concrete in Calgary

Calgary is not an easy climate for outdoor surfaces. The ground freezes and thaws again and again through the shoulder seasons, sometimes more than once in a single week. Poured concrete can't flex with that movement. It's one solid slab, so when the ground shifts, it cracks, and water works its way into that crack before the next freeze makes it worse.
